This year’s Founders’ Day Banquet is right around the corner! If you haven’t signed up yet, what are you waiting for?
Zeta Delta’s annual black-tie-optional affair will be held on May 18, 2019 at St. Andrews Golf and Country Club, located at 2241 Route 59, West Chicago, IL 60185.
The Founders’ Day Banquet is the marque event of the year for Zeta Delta alumni. Although alumni and actives from every Alpha celebrate the May 20, 1841, founding of Chi Psi in their own way, here at Zeta Delta we are lucky enough to also be able to celebrate Zeta Delta’s own founding on the University of Illinois campus on May 25, 1912. We therefore believe that a formal banquet is the appropriate way to mark the occasion.
This year’s banquet is sure to be extra special. Not only will we be celebrating Zeta Delta’s existence on campus for 107 consecutive years, but we will also be marking the end of an era. With the pending purchase of the new Lodge set to be completed on May 31, 2019, this Founders’ Day Banquet will close the book on the 912 South Second era. The new Lodge will be Zeta Delta’s second permanent home, and a new chapter of Zeta Delta’s history is about to be written. This banquet will be a chance to look back, reflect, and reminisce with your Brothers.
