Alpha Zeta Delta of Chi Psi

Colin Johnson lives in Chicago, IL in the Edison Park neighborhood with his wife Amanda and their two sons Carter (4) and Keaton (2.5). Today Colin is Category Sales Director at Verizon Media, leading a team tasked with providing advertising solutions for the country’s largest CPG manufacturers across the suite of Verizon advertising and publishing solutions.

Colin arrived at the University of Illinois in the Fall of 2002 focusing on a business degree with a concentration in marketing. While at school Colin managed to find a way to graduate on time (thanks to the help of his future wife), participate as an active member of the Lodge, as well as play on the Illinois Mens Volleyball team all 4 years. As a professional Colin has worked the majority of this time within the marketing/advertising field, taking only one small detour post graduation to work as an equity options trader at the CBOE prior to the financial crash which subsequently cut that particular career path short.

While at the Lodge Colin lived in the 110 Armory building his Sophomore-Senior year, serving as #3 and Recruitment Chair. The latter role where he began to fine tune the skills necessary to become a successful sales leader later in his professional life. This new role on the corp board is an opportunity to give back to an organization that helped shape his college experience and has provided numerous lifelong friendships he keeps to this day.
