The undergraduates will be hosting an Alumni Weekend from March 9-11, 2018, at the new Lodge located at 606 West Ohio Street in Urbana. This will be an informal event designed to give alumni a chance to come down to see the new Lodge, hang out with and get to know the actives, and socialize with each other without having to deal with the formalities and commotion of Initiation or Homecoming weekends.

There will be a loose schedule of events for the weekend, and alumni may start gathering on the first floor of the Lodge starting anytime after 5:00 p.m. on Friday night. The weekend’s activities may include some golf at the Orange and Blue (weather permitting), an outing to Black Dog Smoke and Ale House for lunch on Saturday, and then beverages and games at the Lodge afterward. There will be a party on Saturday night, most likely at Brothers on Green Street. Some brothers may even try to sneak in a trip to Triptych Brewing in Savory to sample some of central Illinois’ finest IPA’s at some point as well.

If you haven’t been able to make it down to the new Lodge yet and don’t particularly want to deal with the congestion of Homecoming, this is the perfect chance to come check things out. The Lodge will remain open to alumni all of Sunday as well, but this will be optional; anyone who would like to stick around that day is free to make their own plans.

As far as sleeping arrangements go, the actives will be able to house a couple of alumni in the Alumni Suite. The Skylounge (large upstairs bedroom) can also hold two people overnight and the front room is always open. All of this will be first-come, first-served, and there will also be a brother or two who would be willing to put up an Alum for a night.

There is also a TownePlace Suites by Marriott located on Green Street, right across from Brothers. This would make an excellent hotel choice for those planning to spend the night.

We hope to see you there!
